We threw open our doors on Tuesday 18th September, inviting the public to take a look at our facilities and learn more about the educational opportunities we can offer.
Visitors and parents of prospective students were treated to a wealth of activities with each of the academy’s faculties providing activities, experiences and games. Youngsters and parents had the opportunity to try a new sport, follow the Roald Dahl Hunt, be wowed by some hands-on Science, get creative and make their own lolly stick character or challenge themselves with some mathematical games; and much, much more.
The academy’s student ambassadors were also on hand to guide our visitors around the activities and let people know what it’s like to be a student at UAK.
Sean Carragher, Acting Principal, said of the event: “We are delighted to welcome families and prospective students to UAK. We want them to meet teachers, understand what it will be like to learn here and see our wonderful facilities. We are delighted to have a really positive attendance and we look forward to seeing many of them join us in September 2019.
It is an exciting time for the academy as we work in partnership with an Outstanding school in Carlton Bolling.”
