A Level Results

We are delighted to announce our sixth successive year of improvement in A level results here at University Academy Keighley.  The percentage of students achieving grades A*-B in all qualifications has risen to 53%, whilst the proportion of students achieving 2+ grades A*-B has more than doubled since 2016 to 54.5%, with an overall student pass rate of 100% at A2, for all subjects. Moreover, a positive value added measure on progress, demonstrates that all students have made excellent progress based on their starting points at GCSE.

Our special congratulations go to our top performing students.  In A Level Courses, Aneesa Hussain, attained A, B, Dist.*, Dist.* in her four subjects, she will be reading Ophthalmic Dispensing at Bradford and Akeeb Riasat who attained an A in Chemistry, B in Maths and C in Biology,   In BTEC Business and ICT Courses, Amin Ali, Rabool Islam Ali, Selina Hussain, Foyaz Malik and Zahid Nawaz all achieved three Distinction* awards.    The Academy is extremely proud of all students who have once again achieved a brilliant 100% pass rate at A Level.

APS and UCAS points are up again this year with more of our students accepted onto courses at their first choice university.  A large number of our students have chosen to study courses close to home this year at either our sponsor; The University of Bradford, or Universities in the city of Leeds.  The courses chosen reflect the range of skills and experience the students have gained whilst studying here at the academy.  Students are choosing to go into the fields of Law,  Business and Finance, Human Resources, Health and Education.

At AS Level we would also like to congratulate our top achievers.  Mohammed Adnaan and Zara Taj who both attained grade A in Social Sciences.  We are extremely proud of all student achievements in AS examinations this summer and we look forward to their continued success next year.

The 2017 results see continued  improvement for the Sixth Form at UAK.  The overall attainment and achievement of our students reinforces the Academy’s continued commitment to success for all students and demonstrates the expert teaching and guidance of our staff and hard work and determination of our students.

We congratulate our students on their great results; we are confident that they will continue to succeed on their chosen university courses.  We wish them every success for the future.
