Again this year the Academy’s Children in Need activities were initiated by our students, with a Pudsey Pizza Party, Bake Sale and Themed Non-uniform day.  £742 was raised on the day so a big thank you to all those who contributed and worked so hard to make the events successful.

We would like to congratulate all the Year 13 students who recently graduated from the Leeds Beckett University Progression Module.

Students have undertaken the special module in the past academic year and had a fantastic time at the university getting a taste of what it is like to graduate.

Here Simran Hussain and Sanam Ditta tell us all about their time in Madrid.

Madrid was spectacular!

There were so many things to do during our trip to Madrid In November.  We spent our first night in the hotel and we went to “jalo restaurante” for a meal- the food was delicious!  Next day, we toured around Madrid, for 3 hours, it was tiring but it was WORTH IT!  We saw famous statues and historical buildings; plus we saw the hotel that Justin Bieber and Beyonce stay in when they come to Madrid!

After our tour we headed to a beautiful small town called Toledo, our journey took us through attractive scenery.  In Toledo Mr Habib and some students had a go on a Zip Wire- they thought it was “AWESOME!”   In Toledo everyone was shopping and buying gifts for their families.

On our last day, we went to the Real Madrid Stadium and we got to see everything. Then we travelled by the Metro underground to a massive shopping mall “Centro Comercial.” The very last thing we did on our holiday was a trip to the Zoo & Aquarium.  Here we saw so many different animals, some were performing, definitely something we have never seen before! It was MIND BLOWING!

This was definitely a once in a lifetime experience and it will never be forgotten.

The Academy is open today (Wednesday 9th November) as normal.

Please take care with your journey to school this morning.
